Our Planners ("we", "us") is a family organiser app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: support@ourplanners.com.
Information we collect
- Account — your email address and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Family profiles — the names, display colours and avatars you create for household members, including children. Children do not have their own accounts or log-ins; a parent creates and controls each child profile.
- Your content — calendar events, to-dos, lists, routines, chores, and reward/wallet entries you create in the app.
- Device data — a push-notification token per device, and basic crash/diagnostic data if the app crashes.
- Optional calendar link — if you connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar entries read-only to show them alongside your family's plans. We never modify your external calendars.
How we use it
To provide the app: sign you in, sync your family's data across devices, send reminders and household alerts, and diagnose crashes. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Supabase — database, authentication and hosting (data stored in the EU).
- Firebase (Google) — push notifications and crash reporting.
- Resend — transactional email (invites, password resets).
- Google — only if you connect Google Calendar (read-only).
Children's privacy
Our Planners is designed for parents to organise family life. Child profiles are created and managed by a parent or guardian and contain only the information that parent chooses to add. Children cannot register, log in, or share data outside the household.
Security
Data is protected in transit (HTTPS) and access is restricted per household by row-level security. Sensitive tokens are encrypted at rest.
Retention & your rights
You can delete your account from within the app, which removes your household's data. You may request access to or deletion of your data at support@ourplanners.com.
